Combining original songs and melodic harmonies written by renowned songwriter, singer and producer Wendy Oldfield and folktales and myths reinterpreted by prolific journalist and author Nikki Temkin, it’s a must-have for any child aged four years and above.

Originally told by word of mouth, African folktales were originally performed live in front of an audience—this is how these legends passed on from one generation to the next. Simple and direct, these collected stories represent the different people living in our country. Witty, wise and entertaining, the stories have remained popular throughout time and now, for the very first time have been captured on CD and given modern songs to accompany them. One of South Africa’s top vocalists, Zamo Mbatho lends his talents on the funky Afro-pop songs with Oldfield and Mandla Xhosa singing upbeat backing vocals.
